The Requisite Christmas Post

I have put my readers through an emotional wringer the entire month of December and beat y’all over the head with one emotion after another.

I am a cruel, cruel bloggy mistress.

(Totally picture me saying that while waggling my eyebrows and wearing a leather bustier and wielding a whip. Cuz that’s how I roll, yo.)

Wink.

However, the time has come to let loose, start anew and frolic merrily. I’m all about frolicking. Heh.

I hope everyone enjoys this week frolicking with me.

And to help you do that, I’ve a special treat for y’all.

Because I really am a cruel, cruel bloggy mistress.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy Holidays, heck, whatever you want to call it, I hope you enjoy it.

If that wasn’t painful enough, I figured I’d drag my children into publicly shaming themselves along with me. Cuz what says parental love more than posting highly embarrassing videos of you and your children on the internet so they can be mocked for years to come? It’s my Christmas gift to them.

Heh.

Love,

Tanis, your friendly neighbourhood Redneck.

My kids came running to the living room when they heard you and your kids singing. My oldest asked, “Are you going to make us do something like that?” I told him no, but I may have had my fingers crossed behind my back!

Those kids of yours are dipped in awesome and sprinkled with fantastic! Hope you all have an amazing Christmas together!

I played it this afternoon. My 3-year old watched The Hippo Song intently and said “AGAIN! AGAIN!” when you were done. This evening, I played the recorded version for him together with a hippo video on Youtube. He watched it one time, unimpressed, then insisted on coming back here to watch you guys sing. Again, and again. You’re a hit!

Have a very merry Christmas! I hope next year brings you much joy.
