After careful consideration and deliberate ruminations, a name has been bestowed upon the newest little Redneck.
Thank you to everyone who participated and suggested a name. In the end, I completely disregarded and totally ignored each and every one of your suggestions because I am thoughtless thoughtful like that.
Regardless, I am entirely grateful for every suggestion sent my way. Really. Cross my heart.
The Kid, from this moment on, will be forever blogged as Jumby.
Jumby has been born.
Jumby, there will never be a moment in time where we aren’t overwhelmed with gratitude and love for having found you.
You could have been adopted into a classier home, one that doesn’t worship the makers of ductape or know the joy of streaking through the woods buck naked, but I guarantee you, no other home in the world could love you as much as we do.

LOVE it! I get Fric and Frac mixed up all the time (which shouldn’t come as any surprise considering I call my own kids by the wrong name all the time until I finally give up and say “Whoever you are, just STOP!”) so I’m glad you went with Jumby, which is totally different.

I’ve followed your blog and cried for you. I am so happy to catch up on your life and find that you have a new son! I feel so parallel to your heart. I too am a redneck – and we get stuff done. We have a darling boy, a darling beautiful boy. We were told 6 days after he was born that he has Down Syndrome. Well the stigma of that title will not follow him around because his dumb dad and his stupid mom just treat him like a regular kid (therapy and doctor visits included). We love our boy. Your story broke my heart and made me hold my son closer to my heart than ever.
Thank you for your blog. You are honest and witty and very down to earth. Most of all, I love reading your posts.
